I used VAG EEPROM PROGRAMMER to read the Dash and get the login for the new cluster, but cannot use it to read the ECU. I am able to physically change the code of the new cluster to match IMMO-ID and VIN appearing in the ECU, but that is not enough to allow me to match keys to the car (FYI, I could go through the key matching process with new tranponder chips, and everything seemed normal, but as soon as I reinserted the keys, the IMMO light blinked again).īasically, I think I need to read the original code off of the ECU, or I read somewhere that the code is linked to and can be read from the cutout in the keys. I was able to get the PIN out of the new cluster, but I need to somehow obtain the original PIN in order to adapt the new cluster via VCDS instruments (17) adaptation (050) to set it up with the original PIN.
